The Board

Yayasan Karya Salemba Empat was established in 1998. The founders of the foundation includes Satriadi Indramawan, Rizal Bambang Prasetijo, Basya Giawarman Himawan, Mirza Adityaswara, Laksono Widito Widodo, Salustra Satria, Robert Tumiwa, Bramantyo Ajie, Harumi Cempaka Sudjoko, Yasmine Nora Nasution, and Tatan Ahmad Taufik.

Board of Trustees

Mirza Adityaswara
Founder and Chairman of KSE Board of Trustee since 2004, Board of Supervisors 2002-2004 and Chairman of KSE 2000-2002. Mr. Adityaswara currently serves as a Commissioner for the Indonesian Deposit Insurance Institution (Lembaga Penjamin Simpanan) after a stint as the Chief Economist of Bank Mandiri and Director Capital Market of Mandiri Sekuritas. He previously worked with Credit Suisse Indonesia (2005-2008), Bahana Securities (2002-2005), Indosuez WI Carr Securities (1998-2001), Deutsche Morgan Grenfell Securities (1997), BZW Niaga Securities (1995-1997) and Sumitomo Niaga Bank (1989-1993). Obtained Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University, Australia in 1994 and graduated from Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia.

Rizal B Prasetijo
Mr. Prasetijo is the JPMorgan Indonesia Senior Country Officer. He has followed the Indonesian equity market since he joined the JPMorgan Securities' predecessor firm, Jardine Fleming, in late 1989 as well as covering the Thai and Philippines equity markets during the 1999-2001 period. Mr. Prasetijo holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Indonesia and is one of KSE's founders. He strongly believes that the education will open window of opportunities for the "have-nots" to participate in the nation building. In addition to his activities in JPMorgan and KSE, Mr. Prasetijo is also an audiophilist, mainly listening to the classical, 60s jazz, 70s progressive, and punk rock music.

F Chapman Taylor
Vice President of Capital International, Inc. and Senior Vice President of Capital International Research, Inc. with research responsibilities for telecommunication companies in the emerging Asian markets. Also serves on several not-for-profit boards, including For Love of Children (focusing on at-risk children in Washington DC), L'Arche (focusing on developmentally disabled adults) and Dulin United Methodist Church.

Laksono Widodo
Founder and Chairman of KSE Foundation 2002-2004, Laksono is currently the President Director of PT RBS Asia Securities. He previously served in PT Mandiri Sekuritas as a Director Head of Equities, ING Securities (then Baring Securities) and Macquarie Securities as Head of Research. Obtained Master of Business Administration from the university of Hawaii in 1992 and graduated from the Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia in 1989.

Pramukti Surjaudaja
Mr. Pramukti Surjaudaja served as the CEO of PT Bank OCBC NISP Tbk for 11 years before appointed to be Chairman of the bank. Furthermore, he has been serving as non executive Director of OCBC Bank Singapore since June 2005. Previously, Mr Surjaudaja was also the Managing Director of PT Bank NISP Tbk from 1989 to 1998. He started his career as executive trainee at Daiwa Bank office in New York, London, Hong Kong and Tokyo from 1987 to 1989. Mr. Surjaudaja holds a Bachelor of Science (Finance & Banking) from San Francisco State University, and a Master of Business Administration (Banking & Finance) from Golden Gate University in 1985. He attended International University of Japan, Niigata and completed Executive Programs at Stanford University, Massachussets Institute of Technology and Wharton and Insead. Currently, he is also the co-founder & Chairman of Indonesian Overseas Alumni and East Asia Council Member of Insead, France.

Supervisory Board

Satriadi Indarmawan
Founder and former chairman of KSE foundation, 1998-2000. Mr. Indarmawan currently serves as the General Manager of Finance and Administration at PT Cipta Kridatama. He is also among the staff teaching at STIE PERBANAS. Previously worked with Bakrie Construction (General Manager), BPPN/IBRA (Indonesian Banking & Restructuring Agency) 2000-2004, Bank Bumiputera Indonesia, PT (1995-2000), Indovest Bank (1995), and IBM Indonesia (1990-1995). Obtained Master of Applied Finance, Macquarie University, Australia in 1995 and graduated from Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia.

Basya G Himawan
A founder of Yayasan Karya Salemba Empat, Basya is employed at Perusahaan Pengelola Aset (Persero), after stints at BPPN (1998-2004) and Bank Niaga (1991-1998). Graduated from Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia in 1990.
 
 
 

Yasmine Nasution
Among the teaching staff in the Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia 1995-2000, Yasmine also serves as Consultant in Management Institute Faculty of Economics University of Indonesia (Lembaga Management FEUI) since 1997. Graduated from Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia in 1996 and Melbourne University with Master of Applied Commerce in 2003. Previously served as 1st Treasurer of Yayasan Karya Salemba Empat.

Harumi C Sudjoko
Deputy Head, KS4 Foundation 2000-2002. Currently employed with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Finance Services Industry Practice (Advisory), Singapore. Graduated from Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia in 1996 and obtained Master of Business Administration from University of Chicago Graduate School of Business in 2007.

Tatan A Taufik | Chief Executive
Currently serving as Senior Finance Advisor for PT Antam Tbk. Previous employments include services as the Director of Global Financial Markets/Country Treasurer for American Express Bank Ltd and Vice President of Global Treasury at JP Morgan Chase Bank. Tatan graduated with a major in Economics from Universitas Indonesia.
 
 

Arief Wana
Arief Wana now is a Non Affiliated Director at PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi (the Emtek Group), a company providing personal computer services, the Emtek Group has evolved into a modern, integrated group of companies with three main business divisions: Media (SCTV, FTA), Telecommunications and IT Solutions, and Connectivity. Previously Arief was a Director and the Head of Research for Indonesia for Credit Suisse. His prime coverage included strategy, automotive, and consumer sectors in the Indonesian stock market. He joined Credit Suisse in 2005 as the first person on the Indonesian equity team and was key in building the Credit Suisse Indonesian research platform from scratch. Arief previously worked at JPMorgan Indonesia for eight years as Vice President, and covered many sectors in both Indonesia and ASEAN markets. Arief was ranked in the top three in his sector for the past five years. Arief has a BA in Finance and Accounting from San Francisco State University.
 
 

Marsangap P Tamba
Employed at Sun Life Financial as Head of Investments. Previous working experience at Manulife Financial (2003-2006). Master of Finance University of Houston, ClearLake, 1998. Graduated from Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia in 1996.
 
 

Ahmad Solihin
Currently employed PT BNP Paribas Investment Partners after previous stints as Analyst at CLSA, PT Mandiri Sekuritas and Macquarie Securities. He obtained Master in Financial Economics from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium in 2000. Graduated from the Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia in 1997.
 
 

Ferdinand Dion
Currently serving as Managing Director of IRFINDO, an Investor Relations and Public Relations Consultancy firm. Previously worked for Bank NISP as Head of Corporate Affairs. Graduated from Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia in 1997.
 
 

Kennyarso Soejatman
Currently serving as Director Head of Equity Investment in Mandiri Securities, Kenny previously worked for The Chase Manhattan Bank (1998-2000), Bahana TCW Investments Management (2000-2004) and First State Investments (2004-2007) where his Investments department was awarded "Best Equity Fund" by Investor Magazine in 2007 before joining ABN AMRO Asia Securities Indonesia as Head of Research in 2008. Obtained MSc and BSc Economics degrees from The London School of Economics.

Ella Nusantoro
Currently based in PT Credit Suisse Securities Indonesia as the Senior Research Analyst, Ella previously served in Citi Investment Research as Equity Research Analyst, Bahana Securities and Pentasena Arthasentosa. She obtained a Master degree in Marketing from University of San Francisco, and Bachelor degree in Finance from California State University.

Debby R Handojo
Currently employed as the Institutional Sales for DBS Vickers Securities, Debby previously served as Research Analyst in PT Mega Capital Indonesia, covering plantation and banking sectors, and as management consultant with OTI Strategy Consulting. She initially joined Citibank NA after graduation from the University of Sydney, Australia.
 

Ami Tantri
Ami Tantri currently serves as the Institutional Sales for CIMB Securities. She previously worked in Credit Suisse as the Director of Equity Research Department covering oil and gas, mining, cement sectors in Indonesia. Ami had also worked in equity research with BZW Niaga Securities (VP, 1992-1997), Jardine Fleming (Senior VP, 1997-1999), and JPMorgan (VP, 2004-2008). She spent around 2 years working for Medco Energi (an oil and gas company) as the head of Risk Management Department. She has a Master degree in Management and a Bachelor degree in Accounting, both from Universitas Gadjah Mada.

In Memoriam

Budi Unggul Wibowo
Began active involvement within the foundation in 2002, he served as an independent member of risk and audit committee, Bank DBS Indonesia. He previously worked at GE Finance Indonesia as Legal Director, after stints as a private practice lawyer and in-house legal counsel for foreign banks. He graduated from Faculty of Laws, University of Indonesia in 1994. Budi Unggul passed away on 23 April 2010 while serving as Vice Chairperson of KSE.
