The Age of The Pioneers

1995

  • August: Beasiswa 84 started with 3 students and only Rp 100,000/mo allowance.

    • 1996

  • Donors increased to 13 individuals covering 10 students.
  • Began donating books to FEUI Library.

    • 1997

  • Donors increased to 20 individuals supporting 12 students.

    • 1998

  • Donors increased to 26 individuals supporting 19 students; allowance increased to Rp 150,000/mo.
  • October: Yayasan Karya Salemba Empat formally established.

    • 1999

  • Expanded services by providing support for research activities and thesis.

    • 2000

  • Student recipients increased to 40.

    • The Period of Growth

    2002

  • Student allowance increased to Rp 250,000/mo.

    • 2004

  • Support for NON-UI students began at Udayana Univ, Bali.

    • 2005

  • Began supporting students from Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB).
  • Total supported students increased to 140.
  • KSE office moved from Duren Tiga to Pejompongan.

    • 2006

  • KSE 2005 Financial Report audited by a public accountant.
  • March: First annual gathering event committed 22 corporate and individual donors.

    • 2007

  • March: Second annual gathering event committed more than Rp 1bn from 27 corporate and individual donors.
  • September: KSE office moved to Kebayoran Baru, better enabling the foundation to achieve its visions.

    • 2008

  • February: Began supporting 50 students from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya.
  • Total support increased to 357 students.
  • March: Third annual gathering event.
  • November: first Edition Kerabat KSE Bulletin .

    • 2009

  • Began supporting students from Padjadjaan University (UNPAD) - Bandung, Andalas University (UNAND) - Padang, And Gajah Mada University (UGM) - Yogyakarta.
  • Total support increased to 640 students.

    • 2010

  • Began supporting students from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB).
  • Total support increased to 1014 students.

    • 2011

  • Began supporting students from North Sumatera University (USU)- Medan, Udayana University - Bali, Mulawarman University, and Sam Ratulangi University - Manado.
  • Total support increased to 1700 students.
